X-Signal XP7008Q Passes AEC-Q100
Automotive Grade Reliability Certification,
Becoming the Industry's First Automotive
Graded AM Mini-LED Backlight Driver IC.
On 1st September 2023, X-Signal Microelectronics Co., Ltd ("X-Signal") announced that its self-developed
AM Mini-LED backlight driver IC (Model No. XP7008Q) has passed the AEC-Q100 Automotive Grade Reliability
Certification, making X-Signal the first product in the category to achieve this certification.
AEC-Q100 certification is developed and promoted by the International Automotive Electronics Council (AEC),
and is one of the passports for IC manufacturers to enter the automotive field. The certification focuses on strict
quality and reliability confirmation of ICs for automotive applications, especially on standard specification testing
of product functions and performance, in order to improve the stability and standardisation of in-vehicle electronics.
As the requirements of automotive-grade ICs in terms of reliability, safety and service life are higher than those of
consumer-grade chips, the certification process of automotive-grade reliability is long and the standards are stringent,
which has a very high gold content in the industry.
X-Signal XP7008Q has passed the test items stipulated by AEC-Q100 after 6 months of rigorous testing, becoming
the industry's first automotive-grade AM Mini-LED backlight driver IC, which is also the first Mini-LED backlight driver
IC in mainland China to pass the automotive-grade certification. The amount of AM Mini-LED backlight driver ICs
used in a single unit can be hundreds to thousands of pieces, which requires high IC reliability. X-Signal's product
design and quality assurance have always been in compliance with automotive requirements, and this product
compliance achievement represents X-Signal's product quality being recognised by the international authoritative
certification system.
