X-Signal Wins First Prize in Beijing in "Creative China" Competition

On 8th December 2023, the summary meeting of the 8th "Creative China" Beijing SME Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition and "Creative Beijing 2023" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was held in Beijing Chang'an Automobile Exhibition Centre, and the awarding ceremony for the winning projects was held at the same time. X-Signal Integrated Co., Ltd. won the first prize in Haidian District Regional Competition and Beijing Regional Competition, and was awarded the project support from Beijing Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Development Fund. Dr Zhang Jianliang, CEO of the company, attended the award ceremony.

The "Create China" Beijing Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition and "Create Beijing 2023" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition are guided by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Finance, and organised by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Informatisation, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Finance, and the People's Government of Fangshan District of Beijing Municipality. During the three-month competition, 5,053 projects were presented, and X-Signal stood out from a group of outstanding projects with its "Mini-LED Backlight Series IC" project, which had gone through multiple rounds of competition, including the preliminary round, the final round, and the ranking round.

Mini-LED backlight technology is one of the most important upgrading directions in the LCD display industry, and has been widely adopted in TVs, monitors, laptops, tablet PCs, VR glasses, and automotive displays, etc. Different application scenarios put forward a variety of technical requirements for Mini-LED backlight drive technology solutions. X-Signal has a "whole system, whole process" IC R&D team consisting of dozens of senior engineers. With more than 10 years of accumulation in display backlight driver technology, X-Signal has strong technical strength and is able to provide customers with a rich list of Mini-LED backlight driver IC products. Currently, X-Signal's backlight product line comprehensively supports various technology routes such as direct drive (constant current source mode), PM line scanning (multi-channel multi-scan) and AM active drive, etc., and the key technical indexes have reached the forefront of the industry, which can realise domestic substitution of relevant ICs and self-control, and the relevant solutions can comprehensively cover the needs of different applications. In terms of conversion, X-Signal's backlighting products have been highly recognised by the market and adopted by a number of leading customers.

X-Signal's XP7008Q has passed AEC-Q100 automotive certification, making it the industry's first automotive-grade AM Mini-LED

 backlight driver IC, and the first Mini-LED backlight driver IC in mainland China to pass automotive certification. In the field of 

in-vehicle display, several major manufacturers have adopted XP7008Q and will release related products in the near future. 

In 2024, X-Signal will also launch a variety of backlight driver ICs with even better performance to meet the growing market 

demand and make its own contribution to the localisation of ICs in related fields.
